We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Solution Consultant to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing ITS solutions to meet our customers' needs and provide pre-sales, marketing and technical support throughout the sales lifecycle and process.
Your responsibilities:
Provide technical pre-sales support to the sales team. This includes qualification of an opportunity and technical inputs of solution scope, design, and architecture with collaboration with the Application Centre.
Understand the customer’s business requirements by translating them into solutions that fit the customer’s needs from a technical and commercial perspective.
Conduct pre-sales support activities (e.g. demos) and any innovation and technology workshop.
Ensure technical and commercial adequacy of solutions, building widely on the company’s standard solution portfolio.
Drive definition of customer specific solution in collaboration with other global functions (e.g. Product Management, Engineering, Delivery, Operations);
Help develop local strategies to define and shape markets with regard to Kapsch's overall strategy principles and product/solution portfolio.
Liaise with global Solution Specialists and Product Management to manage the strategic principles in the region.
Provide inputs into the baseline portfolio with market requirements, pricing policies and regional competitor information and identify market trends in conjunction with the sales team; and
Safeguard a comprehensive set of documentation, education and marketing material (internal / external).
Other activities may be added to the above list as needed, related to general technical and commercial support in activities carried out by the Employer as part of their business development in the ITS industry.
Your profile:
Knowledge of ITS and/or tolling and good knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand ITS market preferred
Bachelor’s degree (Systems Engineering discipline) or similar.
5+ years minimum of experience in pre-sales and technical positions.
Strong conceptual thinking and design capabilities.
Business fluent in English; every further language skill is a highly welcome asset.
Readiness for domestic and international business trips.
Exceptional collaboration, presentation and communication skills.
Flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and self-starter individual who is eager to learn and has a keen perception.
Strong customer focus mindset and high work ethic.
